PEP15 Critical Thinking Into Writing - Advanced English Course In-Person
This is a 5-week mini course designed to help you improve your academic writing by developing critical thinking skills. Across weekly two-hour workshops, you will explore how to question assumptions, evaluate evidence, and develop balanced arguments in your writing. The course introduces practical techniques for moving beyond description into analysis, showing you how to structure paragraphs, integrate sources, and express your own opinions with clarity and confidence. Through short writing activities, discussions, and feedback, you will practise applying these skills to academic tasks in a supportive environment. By the end of the course, you will be able to approach reading and writing more critically and apply these strategies to assignments across your degree.
*This is a repeat of the mini-course run in semester 1. If you attended the course in semester 1, you do not need to attend again.*
